Doug's column appears in the Friday edition of the Pahrump Valley Times. Often irreverent and sometimes sarcastic, Doug's columns run the gamut of Pahrump and often focus on serious local social issues, politics, and the occasional slice-of-life tale of his life growing up as one of six children in a military family. He began his reporting career with the Pahrump Valley Times on Valentine's Day, 1997. He is married with two children, whom Doug has conned into thinking he is a famous writer.
