Senior trips getting longer

The Pahrump Senior Center began sponsoring senior road trips about a year ago. They lasted about 12 hours, beginning to end.

Now-a-days, trips for the over-55 crowd are up to not one night out, as was the recent trip to the Grand Canyon, but offer two nights away from home when they venture to Laughlin Sept. 20 to 22.

The group will leave on the regular luxury bus from the Pahrump Nugget parking lot at 11 a.m. Sunday and not return until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Those wanting to sign-up, can look forward to a relaxing drive, Sunday and Monday nights at the Colorado Bell, two buffet meals, (one breakfast and one lunch), with the choice of one additional buffet.

Patrons are responsible for all other meals.

To join the group on the peaceful Colorado River, to eat, play and apparently have a good time, call Don, 751-6860.

The cost is only $50 per person and reservations must be made and paid by Sept. 17.
