Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Sept. 14 -- Sept. 18:

Menu -- soup and salad bar, 2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday -- chili-cheese baked potato, green bean casserole, peaches and cream;

Tuesday -- biscuits and gravy, link sausage, Southwest potatoes, white cake with fruit;

Wednesday -- hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, brownies;

Thursday -- chicken Alfredo, Sicilian vegetables, garlic bread, chocolate mousse, pineapple cake;

Friday -- veggie stir-fry over brown rice, glazed carrots, brownies.

Activities

Monday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; beading class, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; craft class, 1 p.m.; bridge class, 1 p.m.; Shadow Mountain Players, 7 p.m.;

Wednesday -- cloggers, 9 a.m.; pinochle, 1 p.m.; Walmart shopping, 9:30 a.m.; humana, 10 a.m.; oil painting class, 10 a.m.;

Thursday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.;

Friday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; bridge, 1 p.m.; beading hearts, 1 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Sept. 14 -- Sept. 18. Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served from 4-5:30 p.m.

Monday -- tuna noodle casserole, herb vegetable medley, sliced tomatoes, low-sodium, fat-free Italian dressing, cracked wheat bread, apple butter, oatmeal date bar;

Tuesday -- baked meat loaf, mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, lettuce and tomato salad, 100 percent whole wheat bread, peach butter, chantilly fruit cup;

Wednesday -- three-bean chili, corn bread, cheese onions, layered salad, birthday cake;

Thursday -- Diabetic friendly menu: pork roast with dijon-tarragon glaze, applesauce, broccoli, Southwestern bean and corn salad, lemon cream blueberry pie;

Friday -- barbecued chicken, sour cream potato salad, steamed spinach, corn on the cob, low-fat margarine, seven-grain bread, apple butter, banana.
