Obituaries
Dale E. Mayer Dale E. Mayer, 79, passed away Oct. 15, 2009, in Pahrump. He was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Alton, Ill., and was a resident of Pahrump for 21 years, having come from Southern California. He moved to Pahrump in 1988 after retiring from construction work. He was employed here for an additional 10 years with Bolling Construction. He was a retired truck driver. He was a 10-year veteran of the Navy and a devoted Christian. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandra Mayer; sons Terry (Linn) King of Washington and Kevin (Dawn) Mayer of Pahrump; daughters Gail (Jim) Ballew of Southern California and Robin (Kevin) Scully of Pahrump; sister Barbara Kirchhofer of Washington; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Mayer and Julia Chase, and sisters Emily McCarty and Erma Mayer. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m., Nov. 9 at Shadow Mountain Christian Fellowship in the old Willow Creek Golf Course clubhouse.
