MARK WAITE / PVT Amanda Head, a Pahrump Valley High School student, models an outfit for the Pahrump Valley Republican Women's Club fashion show at the Pahrump Nugget Events Center last Saturday while Lillian Donohue, coordinator of the event, describes her apparel to about 150 people in attendance. The Republican Women?s Club hoped to raise $4,000 with the event, but it ended up generating $5,300 for various charities. Donohue said the funds will be used for two $1,000 scholarships, the Mammovan, the Pahrump Boys and Girls Club and the Nathan Adelson Hospice.
