Beatty Days this weekend The Beatty Days celebration will take place this weekend with games, music, food, exhibits, vendors and the 0dd contest or two. For more information go to beattynevada.org. Desert Art & Craft Show The Shoshone Flower Building will host the Desert Art & Craft Show from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 30; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 1 in Shoshone. This is an opportunity to do some unique Christmas shopping and visit the museum. Valley Cruisers Trunk-or-Treat Valley Cruisers of Pahrump will host its Trunk-or-Treat candy giveaway from 4 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31, in the parking lot at Mountain View Casino. The Valley Cruiser's classic and antique cars will be on display and all other classic or antique cars are welcome to participate. There will be a raffle, music and face-painting for the kids. Hot dogs and chips, soda, water and beer will be for sale. Bring your own candy. Call 751-0994 for more information. Singles Club schedule The Pahrump Singles Friendship Club will meet at the following times and places during the month of November. Nov. 3 -- lunch, noon, Tommasino's, 727-5294. NWHA Thanksgiving ride The National Wild Horse Association will hold its annual Thanksgiving ride beginning with breakfast at 8 a.m., Nov. 15. The ride will begin at 10 a.m. and there will be a fried turkey dinner about 2 p.m. The cost is $20 for the ride and dinner and $10 for dinner only., Reservations are necessary and the deadline is Nov. 10.
