Pahrump Valley played third-place Bonanza to a 1-1 tie in a Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A Division boys soccer game Monday.

It was only the second point of the season for the Trojans, now 0-13-2 in division matches and 0-15-2 overall.

The Trojans'Bruce Moser and Bonanza's Robby Sagel each scored on a penalty kick in the first half as the teams played to a tie.

Bonanza is 8-4-3 in the division, which is led by Bishop Gorman (15-0) and Clark (10-3-1).

Pahrump Valley closes the season Thursday at Spring Valley.

Pahrump Valley's girls overran visiting River Valley, Ariz., 3-1 in a non-division match Thursday.

The Lady Trojans, 7-2 in the Southern Nevada 3-A League and 11-5 in all matches, are getting ready for their key match of the season -- a showdown with Las Vegas Faith Lutheran (10-0, 16-1-1), with a berth in the Nevada Class 4-A state tournament at stake.

The PV-Faith winner Nov. 5 will advance to the state semifinals, to be played in Reno Nov. 13.

Elsewhere in boys soccer:

Western 8, Desert Oasis 0 -- At Western, Eduardo Hernandez scored two goals and dished out three assists Monday to help Western's boys soccer team clinch a Sunset Region playoff berth with a win over Desert Oasis.

Luis Ponce added two goals for the Warriors. Bryan Mireles, Joshua Ballard, Abraham Navarro and Juan Medina also scored, while Navarro also added two assists. Andres Rodriguez was in goal for the shutout.

Durango 2, Sierra Vista 1 -- At Sierra Vista, Dylan Lindemann scored two goals, including the winner with 15 minutes remaining, as Durango nipped the Mountain Lions. Milan Popovic scored for Sierra Vista.

Clark 5, Spring Valley 3 -- At Spring Valley, Clark senior Salvador Bernal had missed several chances to score against Spring Valley in his four years on the team. But Monday afternoon, with the Grizzlies' postseason hanging in the balance, the Chargers striker wasn't going to let up.

Bernal scored four goals as Clark outlasted host Spring Valley 5-3, keeping the Grizzlies from the playoffs. Spring Valley forward Kyle Martin added a hat trick for his team,

Forward Juan Chavez scored the Chargers' other goal, a penalty-kick blast in the 17th minute. Chavez added two assists, and Juan Regalado and Ray Saavedra each had one assist.

Bernal netted the game-winner, bending a goal off the crossbar that plunged down into the net in the 44th minute.

The Sunset boys playoffs are Nov. 3, 5, 7 at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex at Cimarron-Memorial High School.

First-round pairings are Southwest No. 1 vs. Northwest No. 4, Southwest No. 3 vs. Northwest No. 2, Southwest No. 2 vs. Northwest No. 3 and Southwest No. 4 vs. Northwest No. 1 on Nov. 3. The semifinals are Nov. 5 (4 and 6 p.m.), with the finals at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 7.
