Beatty split 2-0 decisions in a non-league volleyball doubleheader against visiting independent Laughlin Friday.

The Lady Hornets, 4-2 in the Southern Nevada Class A League, are 8-10 in all matches as they host Adelson School today.

Friday, the Hornets go to Lund for a 1-A match.

Lake Mead Christian Academy defeated Pahranagat Valley Alamo 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20 in a battle for first place in the league Saturday. Lake Mead is 7-0 in league matches, 23-4 overall, while Alamo fell to 5-1, 16-2.

Round Mountain stayed in contention for a good playoff seed by coming from behind to defeat Las Vegas Trinity Christian 25-20, 24-26, 24-26, 25-21, 15-12. The Knights are 3-2 in the league, 7-7 in all matches.

Tonopah is 3-2 in the league, 11-7 overall.

Completing the top eight teams are Henderson International School, 3-3, 8-7; Indian Springs, 2-3, 4-8, and Lund, 2-4, 3-6. Sandy Valley (0-6, 1-6) and Trinity (0-6, 3-14) are out of the chase.

The 1-A regionals are Nov. 6-7 at Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas. The quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 6, with the semifinals and finals Nov. 7. The top two teams advance to the state tournament Nov. 13-14.
