Rosemary Clarke Middle School's eighth-grade football team defeated homestanding Las Vegas Faith Lutheran 18-8, moving its record to 4-1 this season.

The seventh-grade game was changed to a scrimmage, because officials were a no-show.

The Sharks play at home Saturday against Bullhead City, Ariz., at noon and 2 p.m.

* Rosemary Clarke's volleyball teams had mixed success Saturday, in matches against visiting Amargosa Valley.

The Sharks' A team won 25-19, 25-19 against Amargosa A.

The RCMS B team split a doubleheader, winning 25-6, 25-19 against Amargosa B, but falling 25-21, 25-14 to Amargosa A.

Amargosa's B team defeated RCMS C 25-19, 25-15.

Rosemary Clarke was at Amargosa Valley Tuesday and will go to Beatty Saturday.

Remaining matches are Oct. 15, at Henderson International School; Oct. 19, at home against Faith Lutheran; Oct. 21, at home vs. Indian Springs; Oct. 22, against Las Vegas Day School and Oct. 24, in its own tournament.

Lake Mead Christian Academy, Faith Lutheran, Tonopah, Las Vegas Mountain View Christian, Ely White Pine, Pahranagat Valley Alamo and Las Vegas Calvary Chapel are entered in the RCMS tourney.
