Heidi R. Bristol

Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Heidi R. Bristol has graduated from the Communications-Computer Systems Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

The course is designed to give students a solid foundation in microcomputer principles, including basic operation and processes relating to configuration, maintenance and repair.

Trainees received instruction in specific hardware and software configuration, use of application software, communications-computer systems security, network principles and management of related equipment and multi-user systems concepts and operation; perform system-wide backups, and load and capacity planning and management; install, implement, configure, and maintain functional system components; connect systems to infrastructure and administer database operations, implements conversions, and investigates problems in database environment.

She is the daughter of Ingrid R. Skavnes of Pahrump.

Her husband, Peter, is the son of George Bristol of Newton Road, Vernon, Vt., and Caryl Simeon of E. Dummerston Station Road, Brattleboro, Vt.

Bristol is a 1996 graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, and received an associate degree in 2001 from Greenfield Community College.
