PHOTO WALK FOR DIABETES
HORACE LANGFORD JR. / PVT About 100 walkers participated in the Walk for Awareness on Saturday during the Pahrump Powwow to benefit the Nevada Diabetes Association. The route took walkers around Petrack Park where they met 14 riders on horseback from the Pahrump Equestrian Trail Riders Association and entered the park to join the Powwow. Diabetes is the number one killer within the Native American community and affects more than 8 percent of Nevada families. |
