The workshop at which residents selected locations for the 10-acre entry to Last Chance Park was held Sept. 29.

The Pahrump Valley Times listed the park locations in the Oct. 2 edition. The locations were again listed on Oct. 23, page 9, as part of a report on an upcoming meeting at the Pahrump Nugget to "weigh in on the location."

Also reported on Oct 2, was a possible second park with a similar 10-acre gateway designated for four-wheelers and ATVs on BLM land in the south portion of the valley.

In addition to stories, mentions of meetings appeared in the PVT's In Brief entries. In 2009 alone, there were more than 30 opportunities to research Last Chance Park in the Pahrump Valley Times' online archives.
