Craft fair in Sandy Valley

This time of year anyone who is creative looks for craft fairs in the area to set up and sell their wares. Well, there is another opportunity in Sandy Valley.

The Sandy Valley Culturati annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair will be held beginning at 9 a.m., Dec. 5 at the Keystone Center.

The Keystone Enrichment Foundation is a nonprofit organization and the proceeds from the sale of refreshments, booth space and funds from donated raffle items will go back into the center.

There will be hourly drawings, a basket of handmade items as a door prize and a Chinese auction.

Table/booth space is $20 for a six-foot table and $10 for half of an eight-foot table. Some tables have wall space with display equipment for hanging items. And those can be had for a small donation of the crafter's choice.

This year, the foundation is asking for a $15 deposit on table space, which will be refunded to those who stay at the event until it closes at 4 p.m. For that reason, the deposit and fee should be submitted on separate checks.

Those wanting to reserve space should contact Surely, 702-723-1101, or Linda, 702-723-1095.

Sandy Valley is located about 30 miles from Pahrump. Take Route 160 south and turn right at the Sandy Valley turnoff. Travel 12 miles to a paved road and stay on it until it ends. Take a left on Quartz Road, pass the Trail's End General Store and take a left on Miami Street. The center is on the left.
