The Pahrump Nugget and Homeland Heroes will co-host a ceremony honoring veterans at 1 p.m., today, on the "Yellow Ribbon" walkway at the southwest entrance. There will be seating and shade from the sun.

As part of the ceremony, the Pahrump Valley High School ROTC will perform the posting of the colors; there will be a military display and several guest speakers. Rhonda Van Winkle will sing the National Anthem.

Representatives from the offices of Sen. John Ensign and Congressman Dean Heller will speak as well.

In addition to the ceremony, the Pahrump Nugget will offer a Veterans Day buffet special beginning at 11 a.m. The cost is $5 per person.
