It's recycling at its sweetest. The Pahrump Town Board on Monday donated five heavy boxes full of individually wrapped candy left over from their Halloween booth at the Pahrump Nugget to the Lion's Club, who sponsors Breakfast With Santa.

This year, the breakfast is from 8 to noon, December 12, in the Nugget's event center. The breakfast will give children the opportunity to sit with Santa and tell him their their fondest desires.

Last year, 200 children had breakfast with Santa. Mrs. Claus organizes the event. The donated candy will go into goodie bags for the kids. Claus said, "A donation of a new, unwrapped toy for Toys-for-Tots is preferred or $5.00 per family."
