BEATTY -- Beatty Town Advisory Board Chairman Mike Lasorsa has withdrawn as a candidate for another term.


Veterans' fete at the Nugget

Town sweetens Breakfast With Santa
It's recycling at its sweetest. The Pahrump Town Board on Monday donated five heavy boxes full of individually wrapped candy left over from their Halloween booth at the Pahrump Nugget to the Lion's Club, who sponsors Breakfast With Santa.

California Lottery
No one matched all five numbers and the mega number in Saturday's drawing of the California Super Lotto. The next jackpot will be at least $18 million.

Wiley swings against Reid
Mike Wiley, a Republican candidate running against U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., in the 2010 election, got his start in politics as a radio talk show host, just like Rush Limbaugh.
