OBITUARY
Luther Ernest Parris Luther Ernest Parris, 90, passed away May 20, 2009, in Pahrump. He was born March 11, 1919, in Hale Center, Texas, and was a resident of Amargosa Valley for one year, having come from Fillmore, Calif. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, a Protestant by faith, attended Amargosa Christian Fellowship and in California, was a member of Fillmore Nazarene Church. He is survived by his daughters Virginia Coppenger of Holly Springs, Ga., Patty Cottingim of Amargosa Valley and Betty True of Santa Paula, Calif.; brother, Andy Parris of Poulsbo, Wash.; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel, granddaughter Becky Presley, sister Nana Mae Grant and his parents. A memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. June 7 at the Nazarene Church in Fillmore.
