Lindemann: 81 at state golfPVT
SPARKS -- Shane Lindemann of Pahrump Valley shot 81 on the first day of the Nevada Class 4-A Boys Golf Championships, which concluded Thursday at Red Hawk Lakes here. The sole representative of the Trojans' golf team at a state tournament for the second time in three seasons, Lindemann was tied for 27th after the first 18 holes. The first-day leader was AJ McInerney, a freshman from Henderson Coronado. He had a three-under par 69 and was two strokes ahead of Jordan Gilmore of Sparks Spanish Springs. At 72 were Ren Wilson of Spanish Springs and Raymond Gillip of Las Vegas. Spanish Springs, because of Wilson and Gilmore, led the team standings with 373, four strokes ahead of Coronado. At 393 was Reno Bishop Manogue, while Las Vegas Palo Verde had 397, Henderson Green Valley 411 and Las Vegas Centennial 415. All six Spanish Springs players finished at 79 or better, but Coronado was not as efficient. Tad Darland had 73 and Ryan Rom 74, but three other players shot 80 or worse on the par 72, 6, 600-yard course. |
