Several former Pahrump Valley High School baseball players joined their coach, Rod Poteete, for his retirement party at Wulfy’s Friday. From the left in the back row are Geoff Schumacher, Robert Worden, Tim Allison, Dick Empey, Ron Allison, coach Poteete, and Carl Kaucky. In the front row are Rich Lauver, Ed Veliz, Barry Salyer, Clint Perry, John Dodge, Pat Fielding and Mark Fanning. More than 200 former PVHS athletes, as well as friends, family members and well-wishers attended the celebration for Poteete, who is retiring in June, after 35 years as a teacher and coach in the Nye County school district.
