At Club MVC

World Series of Poker qualifying tournaments are now underway at Club MVC in the Mountain View Casino.

Players will pay a $70 entry fee, for which they will receive $5,000 in chips. Complete rules are available at Club MVC. Players can pre-register for tournaments.

Four women -- Darcie Eilert, Debbie Dellett, Melissa Williams and Jackie Polansky -- have qualified for the May 27 finals, in the first WSOP prelimary tournament Saturday.

Another qualifier was played Tuesday, with others slated Thursday (5 p.m.), and Saturday (11 a.m.).

The ladies final May 27 will start at 7 p.m., with the winner qualifying for a WSOP event June 7.

Andy Franzen, Art Page, Jay Sanders and John Chickene qualified for the May 30 finals in tournaments played Friday and Saturday. They will join Larry Weese and Don McDermott at the final table.

A qualifying tournament was played Tuesday, with the last in this series Friday at 7 p.m.

The final table is May 30 (1 p.m.), with the winner qualifying for WSOP Event 24 June 11.

Harry Dellett and Ray Hazelwood qualified for a second May 30 final table by winning single-table shootouts Saturday.

Monday, Andy Guites and Art Page won seats for that May 30 finale. Remaining preliminaries are today (3 p.m.), Saturday (4 p.m.) and Tuesday (7 p.m.).

The May 30 (7 p.m.) winner goes to WSOP Event 28 June 13.
