Mucker teams in 1-A playoffs

Tonopah's baseball and fast-pitch softball teams played in the Southern Nevada Class A regional tournaments Thursday at Pahranagat Valley Alamo High School.

In baseball, the Muckers, 7-7, faced host Panthers, 11-8, while Lake Mead Christian Academy, 16-8, battled Indian Springs, 16-4.

The tournament resumes today with an elimination game at 1 p.m. Subsequent action is at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. today. The final is at 10 a.m. Saturday.

In softball, Tonopah, 7-9, played Alamo, 15-8 and Lake Mead, 12-14, faced Indian Springs, 10-6, in first-round games Thursday.

Today's action begins at 2 p.m., with games to follow at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Saturday.
