HORACE LANGFORD JR. / PVT A crowd packed the Bob Ruud Community Center Thursday morning for the annual auction of delinquent tax properties by the Nye County treasurer's office. The treasurer's office auctioned off 164 properties, up from 138 properties auctioned off last year. Participants had to post a deposit of $500 by money order or cashier's check to participate. Minimum bids were mostly $1,000 to $1,100, though one minimum bid was suggested at $5,469. Details in Wednesday's edition.
