A public budget hearing and school board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the school district office on West Street in Pahrump.

Barbara Buckley, D-Las Vegas, speaker of the state Assembly, told Nye County School Superintendent Rob Roberts the governor's office nor the legislature had heard from parents about their concerns. She said people should contact their elected representatives.
