MARK WAITE / PVT Participants in the Death Valley Walk for Life trek along Badwater Road Monday morning as part of a two-day walk to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society. Walkers came from as far away as New Jersey. About 50 people took part in the Sunday walk from Badwater to Artist's Palette, about 30 continued the walk the second day from Artist's Palette to Furnace Creek. The event included a candle-lighting ceremony behind the Death Valley Visitors Center.'
