Bike Night is back

To Your Health

The Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce will sponsor To Your Health 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 9 in Desert View Hospital, 360 S. Lola Lane.

There will be health professionals, fitness and wellness providers, free and low-cost screenings, refreshments, helpful information and brochures and tours of the hospital.

Chili cook-off

The Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Frontier Days Chili Showdown scheduled for May 16.

The event is no longer sanctioned by the International Chili Association but will offer prizes for Judges Choice, People's Choice and Best Booth.

The cost of entry is $25.

Mail application and payment to PVCC/Chili, P.O. Box 42, Pahrump, NV 89041. Make checks payable to PVCC.

4-H Open House

The UNR Extension Southern Nye County 4-H Community Club will have an open house 9 a.m.-3 p.m., May 9 in the 4-H building at the extension office, 1651 E. Calvada Blvd.

There will be 4-H demonstrations and booths.

Poetry jam

The Poetry and Coffee seies will continue 10 a.m.-noon, May 9 at Lois Layne's Deli, off Highway 160 on Basin Avenue at the corner of Dahlia Street.

Frontier Days vendors

The Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting Frontier Days May 15 and 16 in Petrack Park.

Vendor booth spaces will measure 10 foot by 10 foot and are available for $50 which will cover both days.

The ninth annual Amargosa Valley Art & Craft Show will be held May 16 in the community center on Farm Road.

Vendor spaces are $15.
