Dillie wins Dwarf feature at DVR

A truck and a car mix it up in one of the races at Death Valley Raceway Saturday. The track in Amargosa Valley will have its first night races May 16, starting at 7.

AMARGOSA VALLEY -- Mark Dillie won the Dwarf Car feature at Death Valley Raceway Saturday, outracing Bobby Meek to the checkered flag.

Scott Kelley, Steve Slusher, Cecilia Dillie, Mike Bean, Blake Olsen and Robert Pearson completed the starting grid on the one-third mile dirt oval.

Bean won the Dwarf clash.

G Verne was the mini-stock main winner, with Dan Snowden second and Rick Gant third.

Stacey Stinson and John Burch also started, along with Slusher, Anthony Broadhead and Cassandra Martin.

Robert Pearson won the couples finale, with Steve Figgins second.

In the super stock division, Dan Snowden was the winner, with Anthony DeBiase second and Eric Henderson third.

The track resumes racing May 16, with action to take place under the lights, with the first event at 7 p.m. Mini-stocks, super stocks, modifieds and coupes are on the schedule.
