Bertrand Earley

Bertrand "Bert" Earley, 73, passed away April 29, 2009, in Pahrump.

He was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Randolph, Utah, and was a resident of Pahrump for 12 years, having come from Las Vegas.

He was a retired machinist, a member of the Moose Lodge and of the Lutheran faith.

He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime.

Words cannot describe the loss felt by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Karin of Pahrump; sons Mike and Tony of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m., May 2 in the Preferred RV Clubhouse. A potluck followed.

There will be a memorial service held in November. (04/29/2009)

Raymond N. Martinez

Memorial services have been scheduled for Raymond N. Martinez at 9 a.m., May 12 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.

Cheryl J. Iwinski

Cheryl J Iwinski returned home to her heavenly Father May 3, 2009.

She was born Dec. 21, 1963, in Greensburg, Pa., and was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years.

She graduated from Sewickley High School in 1961 and married her high school sweetheart, James Thomas Iwinski, on Nov. 30, 1963.

They moved to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1980 with their six children. Shortly after their youngest graduated high school, they moved to Nevada to join their other children.

She is survived by her loving husband James; her children and their spouses; Laurie and Kenneth Morang, Timothy and Cammy Iwinski, James S. and Leslie Iwinski, Amy and Roy Gregerson, Theodore and Sarah Iwinski, Cheryl Bruce and William Stiffler and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at noon, Saturday May 9 at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway.

Services will be at 2 p.m. and the burial will be Sunday afternoon in Pahrump. (05/03/2009)

Timothy Isa Yamashiro

Timothy Isa Yamashiro, 42, passed away April 20, 2009, in Pahrump.

He was born October 31, 1966, in Los Angeles, Calif., and was a resident of Pahrump for five years, having come from Glendora, Calif.

He was a loving husband and a good father who loved his children dearly.

He was an ASE certified master automotive technician.

He is survived by his father Eduardo Yamashiro; wife Julie Rocha; sons James and Timothy Rocha; daughter Heaven Rocha; brother James Yamashiro and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sherra Lee (Sawyer) Yamashiro.

Services were private. (04/20/2009)

Deborah Susan Woody-Jacobs

Deborah Susan Woody-Jacobs, 49, passed away April 22, 2009, in Pahrump.

She was born Aug. 10, 1959, in Louisville, Ky., and was a resident of Pahrump for 10 years, having come from Atlanta, Ga.

She was a homemaker who loved cooking and reading. She was an Internet D.J., as a hobby.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, John Jacobs Sr., of Pahrump; son Steven Woody of Pahrump; brothers Troy and Terry DuBois both of Atlanta and grandchildren Christopher, Cheyenne, Jonathan and Brianna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
