Board revokes contracting licensePVT
The Nevada State Contractor's Board revoked the license of Pahrump Plumbing and Heating Inc. after a hearing April 29. The license for Pahrump Plumbing and Heating, 370 S. Emery St., was suspended as of Nov. 4. The contractor's board decision states company officials failed to respond to a notice of hearing and complaint dated Feb. 13. The complaint states Pahrump Plumbing and Heating failed to pay R&K Concrete $11,550 for work performed on six different jobs in the Las Vegas area between February and April 2008, and $1,710 for core drilling holes at Home Depot in Pahrump. Troy Russell Young is president of the company, Charles Leroy Eaton vice-president, Carol Ann Eaton secretary and Joneal Young treasurer. The summary of the complaint states contractor's board investigator Greg Mincheff spoke with Young, who agreed with the amount owed R&K Concrete but replied the company didn't have the wherewithal to make the payment. Nevada Revised Statutes require a licensee to prove financial responsibility to the contractor's board. Pahrump Plumbing and Heating failed to respond to a request sent Dec. 29, 2008, to provide a financial statement. In addition to revocation of its license, Pahrump Plumbing and Heating was ordered to pay an administrative fine of $1,000, reimburse the contractor's board for $1,450 in investigative fees and costs and pay restitution. |
