Big scores

Ruby Jim bowled a 747 series, including games of 277, 212 and 258, at the Pahrump Nugget.

* Richard Alderman had a 300 game and a 757 series.

* The biggest score, however, was a 790 series, including games of 300 and 278, by Bobby Howard.

Patterns

The Nugget Bowling Center is looking to start a 10-week league using the five PBA patterns. It's just a fun league; notify either Jan or Terry Johnston at the bowling center desk.

Nugget league championships have been decided in the 2008-2009 winter season.

* Bring Your Own Average, Jerry Lawson;

* TGIF, Split Happens;

* Saturday Rollers, What's Your Name;

* Saturday Juniors, Ice Breakers;

* Saturday Nugget Teens, Vega Team;

* Strike Zone, Two plus Two.

Tournament

The West Coast Senior Tour will compete May 8-9-10 at the Pahrump Nugget. For information, contact the Nugget at 751-6525.

Other events:

* The 2009 Nevada State USBCBA Open Championships continues through June 7 at Virgin River Lanes in Mesquite. Entry fees are $125 for teams, $50 for doubles, $25 for singles and $10 for all-events. For information, call 1-928-347-5314 or 1-702-523-1674.

* The seventh annual BTM (Bowling This Month) tournament will end Aug. 2 at the Silver Nugget Bowl in Las Vegas (1-702-399-1111).

* The Team Members Bowling challenge will held at the Pahrump Nugget from June through August. For information, all 751-6525.

The Pahrump Nugget is forming summer leagues.

The leagues are:

Monday -- 3 p.m., Summer Kids; 6:15 p.m., Nugget Dolls.

Tuesday -- 10 a.m., Pahrump Fours II; 1 p.m., Old Timers; 6:15 p.m., Beat Your Own Average.

Wednesday -- 10 a.m., Coffee Club II; 3 p.m., Summer Kids; 6:15 p.m., Wednesday Mixer.

Thursday -- 12:30 p.m., Thursday Seniors II; 6:15 p.m., Funtime Bowlers.

Friday -- 11 a.m., Beat Your Own Average; 6:15 p.m., TGIF.

Saturday -- 9 a.m., Bumper Kids; 9 a.m., Saturday Juniors; 11:30 a.m., Saturday Teens.

Sunday -- 3 p.m., Family Time (9 pins).
