BEATTY -- Visiting Big Pine, Calif., didn't have any luck containing Beatty hitters, bowing 13-1 and 17-3 in a non-Class A baseball doubleheader Tuesday.

The Nevada Class A Central Division Hornets, 7-1 in all games, play at South Division Pahranagat Valley Alamo in a twin bill today.

Beatty's Anthony Regalado was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs in the first game.

Jacob Sumpter added a triple and Kyle Marchand had a two-run double.

Marchand allowed one hit in five innings, striking out nine, to get the win.

In the second game, Jacob Sumpter was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Isias Flores was 2-for-2 with a triple, three runs and four RBIs to lead Beatty.

Regalado was the winning pitcher, striking out five and walking two, while allowing three hits and an earned run.

No Central or South team has played a league game yet this spring. In the Central Division are Beatty (7-1 non-league), Indian Springs (1-1), Round Mountain (3-3), Spring Mountain (0-3) and Tonopah (1-0).

In the South are Henderson International (4-7), Lake Mead Christian Academy (6-3), Alamo (2-2), Sandy Valley (0-4) and Las Vegas Trinity (0-0).

Laughlin, usually a 1-A team, is an independent this spring and is 9-2.
