Relay for Life fundraiser

The High Desert Linedancers will host an Easter dinner celebration starting at 6 p.m., April 3 at the Pahrump Nugget. There will be an Easter basket auction, chance drawings, a silent auction and live entertainment.

Filet mignon will be served and semi-formal dress is requested.

Tickets at $60 per person and are available at the chamber of commerce.

All proceeds go to Relay For Life.

PVHS fundraiser

Pahrump Valley High School will host a fundraiser 5:30-9 p.m. April 26, at the Skate Zone.

The event is for the school team to raise money for Relay For Life.

The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for youth.

They are also accepting donations and seeking participation. Call Reva, 727-9011, for more information.

Special services

The Church of the Pentecost, UPCI, will have two nights of revival at 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 6 p.m. March 28 at 781 S. Woodchips.

Guest speaker will be pastor Ron Garrett of Glendale, Ariz.

RCMS parent/teacher

Rosemary Clarke Middle School will hold parent/teacher conferences 3-7 p.m. March 26 in the gym at the northeast corner of the campus.

No appointment is necessary. Children have early dismissal at 10:35 a.m.

Be prepared to show ID to pick up your child's report card.

There will be a bake sale during conference hours.

PAVED free workshop

PAVED will sponsor a free workshop 1-3 p.m. April 2 in the Pahrump Town Annex next to the community pool.

This is a financial workshop geared to understanding the stimulus package enacted by President Obama to help small businesses.

The SBA program is designed to help bussiness' grow and succeed. The government guarantees up to 90 percent of the loan amount and subsidized the SBA fees.

The new changes have made it easier for business owners to get the capital they need.

Lincoln Day dinner

The The Pahrump Valley Republican Women will host a Lincoln Day dinner, March 28 at Mountain Falls Grill Room.

Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $50 per person and are available now.

NARFE meets

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet at 1 p.m. March 26 in Room A of the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Faith Fellowship yard sale

Faith Fellowship will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.-noon March 28 at the Storage Shed, across the street from Albertson's between Desert Spirit Trading Post and Key Quest.

Model Train Club meets

The Pahrump Model Train Club will meet at 9 a.m. March 28 in the Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Highway 372.

Everyone is welcome who has an interest in trains.

The Pahrump Community Library is accepting applications for volunteer security persons. Volunteers are asked to give five to 10 hours per week.

Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets

The Vietnam Vets and Legacy Vets motorcycle clubs will sponsor the Hump to Pahrump Poker Run March 28.

Sign up will be 9-11 a.m. at Leather Headquarters, 4245 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas.

Registration for a single rider is $25 and passenger fee is $10.

There will be food, drinks, prizes, contests, a 50/50 drawing, vendors and music by Left Standing.

The last stop is the Saddle West Hotel and Casino.

There are special room rates available for riders wanting to stay overnight.

DAV relocated

The Disabled American Veterans service officer, Reggie Knight, has relocated his offices to Desert View Hospital, 360 S. Lola Lane.

The hours remain the same.
