PVHS fundraiser Pahrump Valley High School will host a fundraiser 5:30-9 p.m. April 26, at the Skate Zone. The event is for the school team to raise money for Relay For Life. HAM radio testing The Amargosa Amateur Radio Club will hold license testing for entry-level Ham radio, 9 a.m.-noon, March 22 at the Amargosa Community Center. Walk-ins are welcome. Laureate Omicron meets The Laureate Omicron chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 1:30 p.m. March 23 in the home of Betty Smith who will present the cultural program, "70 years of friendship." Free tax return service Pahrump tax aides are IRS trained counselors offering free tax return services beginning 9-3:30 p.m., every Wednesday and Saturday, through April 22, at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Room B. The service is open to young, low income taxpayers and seniors who may qualify for Earned Income Credit and are not receiving it. A handicap or the working-hour challenged may make other arrangements by appointment only. Rebuilding Together Rebuilding Together is seeking homeowners who need help with repairs, free of charge to those who qualify. The volunteer organization helps those who need to stay warm, dry, safe and secure in their homes. The deadline is March 20 and applications are available at Galiano's American Grill at the intersection of Postal and Loop roads, Home Depot, the chamber of commerce, Pahrump Senior Center and No To Abuse. To volunteer, call 727-5168. Mt. Charleston book fair Mt. Charleston Elementary will hold the annual book fair March 23 through 27 in the library of the school. The library will be open noon-2 p.m. to view or purchase books. During parent/teacher conferences on March 25, the library will be open noon-5 p.m. Checks should be made payable to Mt.
