In February, the Spring Mountain Art Guild held a "Batik on Paper" workshop with Terry Harvey. The participants enjoyed it so much; another is on tap for tomorrow.

The workshop will be held 9-5 p.m. in the 4-H building behind the UNR Cooperative Extension offices at the corner of Dandelion Street and Calvada Boulevard. There is room for only 10 students. To check on availability, call Harvey, 990-4080. The cost of the workshop is $25.

April 4 is the date to remember for the third annual Visual Artists' Get-together. The gathering will be 1-3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Pahrump Library.

There will be a talk on Batik on paper by local artist Terry Harvey.

All artists are invited to bring a favorite work of visual art and the attendees will vote on their choice. A first-, second- and third-place prize will be awarded.

This venue will give local artists a chance to meet and network with other locals. Refreshments will be served.

For more information on this event sponsored by PAC and the Spring Mountain Art Guild, call Charlise, 751-9331 or Lloyd, 537-0345.
