Drug Arrest Lisa A. Sheats, 40, of Pahrump was arrested on two charges of possession of controlled substances and for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was found with four packages of methamphetamine, one of marijuana and paraphernalia on March 4, after she was pulled over in her car by Nye County Sheriff's deputies. Sheats consented to a search of her vehicle. She was taken to the Pahrump jail, where her bail was set at $2,164. K-9 aids in arrest When Daniel Lee Benner ran from Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin MacNeil during a traffic stop, on March 1, Nye County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted in his apprehension. Sgt. Dan Thomassian's K-9 partner, Hoss, indicated on Benner's vehicle that narcotics were located inside the vehicle. Suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located in the engine compartment in a concealed magnetic Altoid's container along the vehicle's frame as well as in a bag inside the vehicle. Benner was booked in the Pahrump jail on charges for NHP. |
