The guest speaker, Robin Niedecker, will explain the art of English monumental brass rubbing. Inexpensive books are for sale in the FOL bookstore. Free tax return service Pahrump tax aides are IRS trained counselors offering free tax return services beginning 9-3:30 p.m., every Wednesday and Saturday, through April 22, at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Room B. The service is open to young, low income taxpayers and seniors who may qualify for Earned Income Credit and are not receiving it. A handicap or the working-hour challenged may make other arrangements by appointment only. Singles Club meets The Pahrump Singles Friendship Club will meet for dinner at 5 p.m. March 20 at the Last Chance Restaurant and Saloon. It will also meet at 11 a.m. March 23 for lunch at the Senior Center and the regular business potluck will be at 5 p.m. March 28 in the UNR Cooperative Extension Office on Calvada Boulevard and Dandelion Street. Rebuilding Together Rebuilding Together is seeking homeowners who need help with repairs, free of charge to those who qualify. The volunteer organization helps those who need to stay warm, dry, safe and secure in their homes. The deadline is March 20 and applications are available at Galiano's American Grill at the intersection of Postal and Loop roads, Home Depot, the chamber of commerce, Pahrump Senior Center and No To Abuse. To volunteer, call 727-5168. RCMS Science Night Rosemary Clarke Middle school will host the second annual Science Night 6-7 p.m. March 19 in the gym. The event is for all grade levels, parents and students. This is a hands-on participation event. Parents, bring students to participate in stations for pressure, paper rocket launches, wind turbine, Study Island, Internet resources and math activity stations. The event is sponsored by the RCMS math and science departments in conjunction with the 21st Century Grant. AARP driver safety There will be a two-day driver safety class 9-1 p.m. March 25 and 26.
