Equalization rulings raise hackles
A number of disgruntled property owners found out this year that when it comes to the Nye County Board of Equalization, what goes up doesn't always come down.

Prep rodeos face financial crisis
CARSON CITY (AP) -- Nevada teenagers who ride and rope in high school rodeo events said Thursday that fewer students would represent the state in national competitions if lawmakers approve Gov. Jim Gibbon's proposed budget cuts for the state Agriculture Department.
