FURNACE CREEK, Calif. -- Every year the Death Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts an art show at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley. This year's event will take place March 14 and 15, with a variety of fine arts and crafts on display.

There will be paintings in all mediums, jewelry, woodworking, weaving, pottery and photography.

Some of the artists will provide demonstrations of their artwork to give the public a deeper understanding of the creative process and appreciation for the art and the artist.

March in Death Valley is balmy and with the above average rainfall the trip is also the opportunity to see nature's spectacular display of flowers.

The show will be set up on the lawn in front of the front desk registration area of the ranch.

A live band is scheduled to perform beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The show hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
