Once again, the Pahrump Arts Council will bring the Missoula Children's Theatre to the stage of the auditorium at Pahrump Valley High School. This time, the play is "Robin Hood" and auditions for the 50-plus available roles will start at 4 p.m., Monday, March 9 at the high school.

Students, kindergarten through grade 12 are encouraged to audition. No advanced preparation is necessary.

Roles to be cast include Robin Hood and his "Merry Men," Maid Marian, Prince John, the foresters, the aromatic skunks and many more. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals and essential backstage responsibilities.

Wacky humor and an original musical score will add to this fresh, new look at the legendary outlaw and the events taking place in the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest.

Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions come complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT tour actors/directors will conduct the auditions and rehearsals throughout the week.

Auditions will be 4-6 p.m. Monday. Those auditioning should arrive by 4 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some cast members will be asked to stay for rehearsal beginning immediately after auditions.

Although all actors will not need to rehearse daily, all students selected for the performances should have a clear schedule for the full week. Rehearsals will be 4-8 p.m. daily.

"Robin Hood" will be presented at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., Saturday, March 14 in the PVHS auditorium. Tickets are $5.

The Missoula Children's Theatre annual residencies in Pahrump are presented by the Pahrump Arts Council, with funding support from the Town of Pahrump Cultural Arts (room tax) Fund, the Nevada Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Montana Arts Council and the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
