The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association recognized member schools student-athletes for academic excellence during the winter sports season.

The recipients were:

Boys basketball -- Virginia City, Lincoln County, Boulder City, Churchill County Fallon (3.75 grade point average).

Girls basketball -- Austin, Lincoln County (3.81), Winnemucca Lowry, Fallon.

Wrestling -- Lincoln County, Yerington, Henderson Foothill (3.44).

Spirit -- Jackpot, Battle Mountain, Dayton (3.82, highest grade point average among state honorees), Reno.

Boys bowling -- Las Vegas Cheyenne (3.50).

Girls bowling -- Cheyenne (3.70).

Girls skiing -- Truckee, Calif. (3.72)

Boys skiing -- Reno Wooster (3.69).

Girls 4-A soccer -- Las Vegas Del So (3.49).
