Biker grounded by teenager
By GINA B. GOOD
Thursday around 3:30 p.m., a teenager driving a Saturn station wagon with several of her friends as passengers made a hard left in front of a motorcyclist near the intersection of Bell Vista Road and Garrison Road. The resulting crash caused substantial damage to both vehicles. One passenger in the Saturn was taken to Desert View Hospital by Pahrump Valley Fire-Rescue Services. The driver of the motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, was bloodied, but refused medical treatment as he walked around surveying the scene. His bike didn't fare well. It was struck so hard the headlight was torn off and the whole front of the bike, including the wheel assembly, was crumpled. The biker was heading eastbound on Bell Vista when the Saturn with its youthful passengers failed to yield. Nye County Sheriff Sgt. Mark Medina was seen on the scene, sternly lecturing the teens. |
