AMARGOSA VALLEY -- Promoters at Death Valley Raceway have dramatically changed the motorsports track's summer schedule.

Instead of being idle in June, July and August as originally scheduled, there will be races twice a month on Saturday nights throughout the summer.

Action on the one-third-mile dirt oval will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with all divisions -- IMCA modifieds, Dwarf cars, mini-stocks, super stocks and micro-sprints -- on the schedule.

Succeeding races will be contested July 11 and 25, Aug. 8 and 22 and Sept. 5 and 19. Races are to start at 7:30 p.m., with the schedule subject to change.
