MARK WAITE / PVT Crews have been preparing Lola Lane for an eventual extension to Basin Avenue that will allow a northern access to Desert View Hospital. The only entrance to the hospital is off Wilson Avenue, but numerous residents have wondered why a second access had not been put in. The Regional Transportation Commission is funding up to $100,000 of the cost, RTC Chairman Cameron McRae said. Developer Hollis Harris is providing another contribution of about 30 percent of the cost.
