The Pahrump Nugget has a new marketing director who is thrilled about not only her new position, but also about continuing the Nugget's reputation for service to the community.

Dawn House is experienced for her 32 years, having come from three years in Golden Gaming's corporate office in Las Vegas, where she used her creativity in the advertising and marketing departments.

She worked for a number of years in Phoenix, Ariz., as an operations manager in sales before moving to Las Vegas.

House said she's excited about her new position here. "I'm really looking forward to being a part of this community. I like it here. It's been great meeting everyone," she said.

Among other things, the Nugget hosts many of the events for charitable organizations here, and House will now be the contact person to organize them. She will also be responsible for live entertainment in the Stagebar Lounge and public relations for the property.

House has a home in Las Vegas and makes the commute each day. "I'd like to move here," she said.

With the economy, it may take her some time to get the variables to fall into place.

House replaces Lori Doller, who retired last month.
