The Nye County School District trustees will meet briefly at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 18, in Pahrump to discuss Superintent Rob Roberts' annual evaluation and announce results.

The meeting will then be closed to discuss Roberts' contract, then reopened to vote on his contract for the 2009-2010 school year before recessing until 6:30 where the regular business session begins..

Topics on the business agenda include a discussion and possible decision regarding additons or possible deletion of personnel positions in the 2009-2010 contract year.

There will also be discussion and a possible reconsideration of the trustees' Nov. 8, 2007, decision to build a second high school in Pahrump. They will either reaffirm the decision or decide to add on to Pahrump Valley High School.

Also, a second revision of the school budget for 2008-2009 will be presented by Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Ray Ritchie.

Other timely items include an action item regarding a replacement for either Manse or Mt. Charleston elementary school, both of which are aging, as well as setting a hearing for possible closure of Tonopah's third- through eighth-grade elementary school.

There are several other items up for discussion: the awarding of Beatty Elementary School's video surveillance system, by Bob Whimpey, maintenance and operations supervisor, as well as awarding the bid to re-roof portions of the Ninth Grade Academy building and J.G. Johnson's storage room addition.

The child nutrition program agreement will be presented by Food Service Coordinator Pat Garlin.

The meeting will be held at the district office at 484 S. West St.
