Magical illusion at Amargosa Opera HousePVT
The days of simple slight of hand magic have been overtaken by the techtronics and grandiose exhibits with elaborate stage settings and lights. Gone are the days when children stare in wonder as scarves appear out of nowhere, coins appear out of noses and ears, and flowers bloom seemingly without effort. Or have they? Marta Becket's Amargosa Opera House will feature the classic magic of Phil Crosson who is an artist of magical illusion at 8 p.m., June 12 and 13. Crosson, whose specialty is slight of hand and close up magic, will leave you wondering, did you really see what you thought you saw, or was the hand quicker than the eye? There is no need for special effects when the mind has own key to imagination. Call 760-852-4441 to reserve tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children 14 and under. Reservations are recommended however, tickets will be sold at the door on performance nights as well. If you decide to stay the night, the hotel has rooms at reasonable rates. You can visit the Web site at www.amargosaoperahouse.com and make reservations online. |
