Stringer, Kiefer among DVR winners

Death Valley Raceway has scheduled a June 20 show, with action on the one-third mile dirt oval starting at 7:30 p.m.

AMARGOSA VALLEY -- Steve Stringer and Levi Kiefer were among the winners Saturday, at Death Valley Raceway.

Stringer won the super stock feature, outracing Dan Snowden, Anthony DeBiase, Dale Daffern and Cody Means on the one-third mile dirt oval.

Mike Lysinger, Rick VanBuytene, Steve Edwards, Eric Henderson, Ron Dove, Mike Suber and Pete Wallace also competed.

Kiefer won the IMCA modified main, beating Jerry Buesio, Todd Nunnally and Terri Little to the checkered flag. Jim Maddox, Jeff Mitchell and Jason Pike were on the starting grid.

Mark Dillie won the Dwarf car feature, with Mike Bean second. Blake Olsen, Cecilia Dillie, Bobby Meeks and Troy Seymore also started.

G. Verne was first in the mini-stock main, with Rick Gast second and Stacey Stinson third. John Burch, Susan Smotherman, Jonathan Burch and Cassandra Martin were among the starters.

Heat winners were Stringer, Lysinger, Kiefer, Pike, Meeks, Dillie, Burch and Verne.

Snowden's Landscaping and Fencing spent $500 as sponsor of the super stock main, an event it also promoted.

Instead of taking the rest of the summer off, DVR will return to action June 20, with a night race starting at 7:30.
