A man driving a motorized bicycle died Sunday about 8:30 p.m. after crashing with a full size pickup truck on Vicki Ann Drive in the vicinity of Mickey Street.

No name was released pending notification of next of kin, as of Monday.

Pahrump Valley Fire-Rescue Services responded to a call for a "pedestrian versus motor vehicle accident with a person on fire."

The fire was extinguished before the firefighters and EMTs arrived, but the rider was already dead. The remnants of the bike were still on fire.

The responding ambulance protected the scene and sheltered the body while providing scene illumination and support for the Nye County Sheriff's Department. Fire Chief Scott Lewis and Sheriff Tony DeMeo responded to the scene. The accident is under investigation.
