Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of July 20 -- July 24:

Menu -- soup and salad bar, 2 percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday -- chili-cheese baked potato, mixed veggies, applesauce;

Tuesday -- ham and cheese omelettes, Southwest potatoes, steamed broccoli;

Wednesday -- smothered chicken, potatoes au gratin, country-style green beans, cake with fruit;

Thursday -- pulled-pork barbecue sandwiches, buttered corn, spiced peaches;

Friday -- battered cod, brown rice, peas and carrots, fudge brownies.

Activities

Monday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker club, noon; beading club, 12:30 p.m.; hair cuts, 9 a.m.

Tuesday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; craft class, 1 p.m.; bridge class, 1 p.m.; Shadow Mountain Players, 7 p.m.

Wednesday -- cloggers, 9 a.m.; pinochle, 1 p.m.; Walmart shopping, 9:30 a.m.

Thursday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.

Friday -- exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; poker, noon; bridge, 1 p.m.; beading hearts, 1 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of July 20 -- July 24. Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served from 4-5:30 p.m.

Monday -- barbecue beef sandwich, corn on the cob, steamed spinach, creamy coleslaw, tapioca pudding;

Tuesday -- chicken noodle soup, French bread pizza, broccoli salad, rainbow sherbet, oatmeal-date bar, pink lemonade;

Wednesday -- Diabetic friendly menu: spicy turkey casserole, mixed vegetables, whole wheat bread, salad bar, cherry-cocoa cake;

Thursday -- chicken curry on rice, colorful salad, low-fat, low-sodium French dressing, whole wheat roll, low-sodium margarine, pineapple chunks;

Friday -- lemon-baked fish, broccoli-stuffed potato, steamed carrots, beet salad, 100 percent whole wheat bread, apple butter, honeydew melon.
