Injuries sent three Pahrump Valley starters to the sidelines Tuesday, which enabled homestanding Las Vegas Sierra Vista to claim a 42-30 victory against the Trojans, in Sunset Region Southwest Class 4-A Division wrestling.

The Trojans defeated Desert Oasis 62-16 in the tri-meet and were 4-2 (31-5 in all duals) going into a Thursday tri-meet at Western. Durango completed the field for Pahrump Valley's final regular-season action. The Sunset Regionals are Feb. 6-7 at Bonanza.

The Mountain Lions scored 36 points against the Trojans with six pins, by Jelvon Suggs (103 pounds), Cory Stimach (119), Victor Torres (140), Manuel Sedillo (145), Erik Martinez (215) and Andrew Ramos (285).

Josh Armendariz (125), Paul Miller (130), Chris DeMille (135), Anderson Floyd (160) and Zach Weldon, who moved from 171 to 189, won for Pahrump Valley.
