Resolutions filled at Anytime Fitness
By MARY BALDASANO
Did you make a New Year's resolution to lose weight or get fit? Not sure where to go to accomplish this goal? Well, Anytime Fitness will be very glad to help you achieve your goals. Located at 70 S. Highway 160, Suite 105 (near Albertsons), the facility, though small, contains the most up-to-date equipment you can find. Gray Burr, facility manager, said, "We want to help clients know the safe way to exercise and reach their goals. We want to change lives by investing in our members and give them a convenient way to be able to exercise." The Anytime Fitness Corp. is owned by IIAC Fitness based in Minnesota. The Pahrump facility is one of many franchises around the country. They came to Pahrump because they saw a growing population and wanted to offer another option for achieving fitness. Burr and Matthew Houser, physical trainer, have been in Pahrump for only a few months but love the area already. Burr commented that he "loves the slower pace of life" in Pahrump. The facility offers a wide range of exercise packages from individual to corporate. A family package can cover as many members of the family that the purchaser wishes. There is a heroes program for military personnel, a senior's package and a corporate package for from five to 200 employees. Packages run anywhere from $15 to $55 a month, with an average of $30-$40 a month; costs can vary due to any added needs of the client. Heroes are normally one to two years and cost approximately $30-$35 a month. However, they do not offer a day-to-day or month-to-month access package, due to potential damage costs. Since the facility is open 24 hours, clients can use their access at anytime convenient for their particular schedule. Packages purchased allow access not only to the Pahrump facility but to any Anytime Fitness facility around the country. Burr stated "You have to make a decision to enjoy life. I want people to feel comfortable enough to ask any questions about anything to do with exercising or the facility itself. I'm honored to be part of Pahrump and thank the people I've met." Houser added, "We don't cater to any particular person or group. We are professionals who offer an informal hometown atmosphere for our clients. You only have so many days to look in the mirror and know what you need to do and not do. So come try us out." Both Burr and Houser are certified trainers with a background in sports medicine. They are very knowledgeable on strength and conditioning as well as standard fitness programs. Houser is a personal trainer educated in proper nutrition and provides anatomically correct Nautilus and more. He likes the smaller facility as it allows a more personal touch to training. He closed by saying, "Don't just say it -- do it. Once you start a program, you won't be able to quit." You can contact Anytime Fitness by calling 775-751-9600.
